HISTORY

The Law Firm of Moraitis, Cofar, Karney & Moraitis was originally formed as Moraitis & Cofar in 1973. During 1978, William M. Karney became an associate with the Firm and during 1981, he became a partner and the name of the Firm changed to Moraitis, Cofar & Karney. During 2002, Representative Moraitis became an associate with the Firm and during 2005 he became a partner and the name of the Firm changed to Moraitis, Cofar, Karney & Moraitis. The Firm has always had a transactional practice primarily engaging in the areas of residential and commercial real estate along with corporate, probate and estate planning.

REPRESENTATIVE TYPE OF CLIENTS:

The Firm has represented residential buyers and sellers, real estate developers, banks, savings and loans, federal savings banks, multi-state mini-storage facility owners, title companies, real estate brokerage firms and corporate clients over the past 40 years.

TITLE INSURANCE AGENCY RELATIONSHIPS:

Mr. Moraitis has been a member of Attorney's Title Insurance Fund, Inc., now a joint venture partner of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, since 1969, Mr. Cofar since 1972, Mr. Karney since 1978, and Representative Moraitis became a member in 2003.

The Firm enjoys an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating a firm can achieve. That honor was earned primarily by practicing in the areas set forth above.

AWARDS:

The Firm has been a member of the Attorney's Title Insurance Fund and the Attorney's Title Fund Services President's Circle since 2006 in recognition of its status as one of the premier title insurance agents in the State of Florida. Based upon annual underwriting premium volume, the Firm has been ranked in the Top 25 in the State of Florida by Attorneys' Title Fund Services, Inc. and its predecessor Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc. for 2008 and 2009.
